UPCOMING EVENTS
March 2025
Speaking of. . .
Bible topics
Cheryll loves to speak about the Bible and the people from its pages. Esther and Ruth, the woman at the well and the woman caught in the act of adultery have much to say to us. With more than 30 years experience in women's ministry and having studied theology, Cheryll's passion for the Word and for the Savior are deep and real. She enjoys sharing about these topics with anyone who is interested.
MERCY, JUSTICE,HUMILITY
Micah 6:8 What does the Lord require except to love mercy, seek justice, and walk humbly with your God
Having worked with victims of trafficking for more than 10 years, having family members who suffered from sexual abuse, and having experienced trauma in her own life, Cheryll has something to say about keeping yourself and your children safe. Treating with respect those who have suffered at the hands of others is a church wide issue that is close to this author's heart. Cheryll speaks with knowledge and compassion on these topics.
family topics
Cheryll and her husband Richard have adopted twice and are the proud parents of six wonderful children. Along with adoption comes challenges that don't usually occur within a biological family. Attachment and abandonment issues, PTSD, loss of their biological/birth family are some of the issues this family has tackled.
2016 was a particularly tough year for the Collins family. Three of their children faced cancer, Richard had a case of food poisoning that hospitalized him, and their daughter Amy lost her battle with brain cancer, leaving her two young children motherless and her family swimming in disbelief.
Since the death of their daughter, Cheryll and hubby have raised Amy's children. The task of raising grandchildren has brought enormous blessing and challenges. So many grandparents find themselves in the same position today.
