Cheryll Collins Writes
Exploring faith through stories, poetry, and the lives of women in the gospels.
About Cheryll Collins
Cheryll was born and raised in Delaware. She married Richard in 1980 and together they have six adult children (Kristi, Melanie, Amy, Matthew, Crystal, and Timothy), five in-law children (Dan, Steve, Chris, Jessica, and Tom), nine grandjoys (Cadan, Roisin, Isaiah, Tadhg, Jeremiah, Saor, Asana, Serena, and Lyra), and 3 beautiful pups (Sassafras, aka Sassy, Topaz aka leaping Lizzie and lickin' Lizzy, and Hugh as in Hugh Jackman, wolverine, the greatest showman).
Cheryll has taught women's Bible studies, developed and led women's ministries, choreographed and led worship dance, led youth group, and sings joyfully to the Lord always.
Painting, especially acrylic pour painting, is a favorite pass time for Cheryll.
Reading is another. Some of her favorite authors are Francine Rivers, CS Lewis, Ted Dekker, and Andrew Murray.
Cheryll is a believer in growing and learning throughout life. She is currently learning to play the mandolin. She also plays the bodhran, and shakes a mean tambourine.
For more than 10 years Cheryll was on the board or working with Meet Me at the Well Foundation. An organization started by her late daughter Amy Day. The organization provides scholarships and assistance for women who have survived sex trafficking. Cheryll attended court sessions, worked one on one with survivors, developed and applied programs for Holidays, baby showers, house warmings, and other events to assist survivors in moving to healing and wholeness. Throughout the years and touching lives Cheryll worked to introduce these women to the One who could truly heal, Jesus - Only Jesus.
Being involved in the local church is an important part of life for Cheryll and Richard. Currently and for the foreseeable future they are members of Reach Church in (Bear) Delaware.
